Websites for HVAC alternative: an honest comparison

Websites for HVAC vs HVAC Marketing HQ: published prices, a 12-month cost example, what happens to your site if you cancel, and where each fits.

By Logan, founder of HVAC Marketing HQ · Updated Oct 12, 2026

Key takeaways

  • Both companies are HVAC only and both publish prices. At the Starter level, paid monthly, the 12-month cost comes out the same: $7,983.
  • Monthly plan prices now match at every level, and both take about 20% off for annual billing. Our build fees are lower at Growth, Dominate and Multi-location.
  • Their Terms, as published in Oct 2026, say the website goes offline if you cancel and they keep the source code. You keep your domain, content, images and lead data.
  • Review requests and missed-call text-back are in every one of our plans. On their pricing page, review requests and the lead system start at Growth.

The short version

Websites for HVAC (websitesforhvac.com) is a newer HVAC-only agency that builds custom websites and sells local SEO, a lead system, reviews and ads on top. Like us, it publishes its prices. The biggest differences are in the details: what's included at each level, what you keep if you leave, and what each company can show you as proof today.

Everything about Websites for HVAC on this page is as published on their site, Oct 2026. Prices and terms change, so check their pricing and Terms pages before you decide.

Published prices, side by side

Plan levelWebsites for HVAC, monthly billingWebsites for HVAC, annual billingTheir build feeHVAC Marketing HQ, monthlyOur build fee
Starter$499/mo$399/mo$1,995$499/mo$1,995
Growth$799/mo$639/mo$2,749$799/mo$2,495
Dominate$1,299/mo$1,039/mo$3,499$1,299/mo$2,995
Enterprise / Multi-location$2,499/mo$1,999/mo$4,499$2,499/mo$4,500

Their build fees above are their "founding" rates; the list prices shown next to them run $2,295 to $4,999. Their annual prices are the ones shown by default on their pricing page. We take 20% off our plan price if you pay annually; see our plans page for the annual numbers.

A few things their pricing page and Terms say, as published in Oct 2026:

  • Monthly plans are month to month. Annual plans are billed up front for 12 months with no refunds.
  • The build fee is due at the start and is non-refundable once work begins.
  • Monthly billing starts at launch, not at signing.
  • Extra pages are $99 each. Ad spend is paid separately.
  • Review requests by text, the lead system with call tracking and the AI chatbot start at the Growth plan.

12-month cost, with the math

Same method for both: plan price times 12, plus the one-time build fee. No ad spend in either, since both bill ad spend separately.

OptionMath12-month total
HVAC Marketing HQ Starter, monthly$499 x 12 + $1,995$7,983
Websites for HVAC Starter, monthly$499 x 12 + $1,995$7,983
Websites for HVAC Starter, annual$399 x 12 + $1,995$6,783
HVAC Marketing HQ Growth, monthly$799 x 12 + $2,495$12,083
Websites for HVAC Growth, monthly$799 x 12 + $2,749$12,337
HVAC Marketing HQ Dominate, monthly$1,299 x 12 + $2,995$18,583
Websites for HVAC Dominate, monthly$1,299 x 12 + $3,499$19,087

So the monthly prices are the same, Starter is a tie over 12 months, and we come out $254 lower at Growth and $504 lower at Dominate because of the build fee. Annual billing is about 20% off at both. What really differs is what's in the box. Our Starter includes missed-call text-back and review requests. Their Starter, as listed in Oct 2026, includes the website, Google profile setup, a monthly report, their territory lock and content updates, with review requests and the lead system starting at Growth.

What happens to your site if you cancel

This is the biggest difference between us. Their marketing pages say "You Own Your Website". Their Terms, as published in Oct 2026, say that when you cancel, the website goes offline and they keep the source code. You keep your domain, content, images and lead data, with a content export within 30 days.

With us, you own your site, your domain, your Google profile and your reviews. Either way, read the contract, not the sales page, and ask what you'd have the day after you cancel.

Where they're strong

  • Clear, published prices. A detailed plan comparison, a $99 price for extra pages, and billing that starts at launch rather than at signing.
  • Software connections. Their Dominate plan lists connections to ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro and Jobber.
  • Exclusive territory. They offer one HVAC company per service area. If that matters to you, it's a real selling point. Ask for it in writing.

Questions to ask on their sales call

  1. If I cancel, what do I have the next day? Their Terms say the site goes offline. Ask whether there's a way to buy or move the site.
  2. Is the exclusive territory in the contract? Ask how the area is defined and what happens if they sign a shop near you.
  3. Which price applies to me? Some of their pages quote monthly prices and some quote annual ones. Get the exact plan price, build fee and billing term in writing.
  4. What's refundable? Annual plans are billed up front with no refunds, and the build fee is non-refundable once work starts.
  5. Who will I talk to, and how? Their site lists an email address for contact. Ask who your point person is and whether you can call them.
  6. Can I talk to a current client? Ask for a reference you can call.
